Commentary

That's that for today then. Join us tomorrow for another double-header. Until then, good night and goodbye!!
Uthappa: I think the bowlers got us out of the jail. Kudos to them. They deserve all the credit. The advantage we have in our team is that our bowlers can bat a bit and kudos to Abhishek Bhat he bowled well and that innings towards the end was magnificent. Pretty happy to be at the top of the table and as a batting unit, we want to pick up momentum, take cues from today and go well for the rest of the tournament.
Aniruddha Joshi : Actually it's a good game. We had the game till the 13th over and the catch that I dropped in the 14th over cost us the game. I'm really proud of my team and we will come back strong next game. I have complete confidence in my players.
Abhishek Bhat, Man of the Match: I figured that we still had a lot of batting to go and you've got to believe in yourself and we always believe in ourselves. Our team management instills that belief in us and it shows the grit we have as a team and these are the sort of the games that will boost your confidence levels.
21:57 local: One of the most thrilling come-from-behind wins in the history of KPL. Chasing 147, Robin Uthappa was out second ball of the innings and they lost half their side inside 7 overs. Pavan Deshpande and Bharath Devaraj, however, resurrected the chase with a 38-run stand for the sixth wicket. Although the amount of runs might seem insignificant in the partnership, the way Deshpande belted some of the bowlers enabled a glimmer of hope and eventually snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Abhishek Bhat deserves all the credit for his 19-ball 40 towards the end, and, not to forget, he was helped by the stuff-of-dross from the Lions' bowlers. And the fielding was equally shoddy too. Dropped at least 3-4 catches and conceded 15 extras...
19.1 Somanna to V Koushik, FOUR, Bengaluru Blasters pull off an absolute come-from-behind victory, from 5/46 they win this with 5 balls to spare. Koushik opened the bat face and poked at a good length delivery which went flying past the keeper, thanks to that blazing outside edge
Just one hit away now
18.6 K Hoysala to Abhishek Bhat, FOUR, goes for a yorker on leg stump and gets nailed over mid-wicket. There's no-one in the deep and must say that's poor delivery in the context of the game
