Commentary

A promising start for the Royals, but we have one more match to go. West Indies have sent their B team and they will face Montreal Tigers in the second game. Do join us for that
Fletcher - It's a good start for me and the team. We need to go from strength to strength. A two-paced track, we need to take our time and then play the shots. I will do whetever the captain wants, just want to continue the good run.
Andre Fletcher is the MoM
Tanvir - Comprehensive win for us, as a skipper, can't aske for any better. Could have been a bit better with the ball in the death overs, but it's a good start. There was a bit of bounce, we took early wickets to put them on the back-foot. I am watching Ronchi from last year's CPL, he's kept up his form very well.
Sammy - Our bowlers didn't know how to bowl on this surface, 170 was always difficult to defend, but the bowling was unacceptable. We need to execute our plans, bowling on a good length area was difficult to hit. But Ronchi and Fletcher batted really well, need to do a lot better if we are to win matches.
Edmonton Royals have won it in a cantger. Luke Ronchi started fiery, he was well supported by Fletcher who remained unbeaten on 68 and the chase was all but over well inside the powerplay. A toothless bowling display from the Nationals and Sammy has some headache coming up
14.6 Smith to Andre Fletcher, SIX, that's that, a royal thumping for the Toronto Nationals, flighted delivery on off, Fletcher gets forward and smothers it wide of long-on for the winning hit
