A book can be written documenting the Vidarbha's fairy tale journey - and I'm sure it will be; about the incredible and inspired performances by the Vidarbha players against some of the most seasoned and hyped teams in the tournament. Vidarbha, a team that reached the knockout stages on the back of some convincing clinical victories, held their nerve in the semi-final against Karnataka, clinching a thriller to win a big match against arguably the best team of the tournament. And here they stood in the final, on the cusp of beating seven-time champions Delhi in the biggest domestic event of the Indian cricketing calendar. History has unfolded out here in Indore and we are all witness to it.

Gurbani has been just unbelievable with the ball, especially in the knockout stages, culminating in a hat-trick in the final. Wankhade has performed under pressure.
