Phew, that was quick. Could have been quicker had Shahzad hit his straps right at the start. But in the end it is the Victorians who find themselves in a desperate position now with five losses in as many games. Would require some sort of a miracle from this moment to lift their campaign if they wish to make it to the top four. But all those discussions for another day. In an ode to his hero MSD, MS finishes off things with a maximum. And quite like his hero, he doesn't even bother looking up to see where the ball was going. The knock too was quite Dhoni like. Ambling around for singles at the start and then finishing it off in some style. A match of two contrasting halves. If the struggle to get to 122 was a feature of the Victorians innings, Shahzad and Mithun eased their way to overhauling the total for their side. Well it does help knowing the total you'd be chasing. Samuels did not make matters easier for his side by putting down a real dolly of a catch in the deep to give Mithun a reprieve.
