Commentary

18:09 Local Time, 08:09 GMT, 13:39 IST: Perth Scorchers get home very comfortably in the end, all thanks to Ashton Turner who played an absolute gem under pressure. It was getting very close at one stage, with Sixers even having the upper hand arguably, but that's when Turner gave a showcase of his hitting abilities, producing timely blows to turn it in favour of the Scorchers. Because the target was under par, it meant that the game got away very quickly from the home side when the momentum shifted. Credit to them for making a match of it, with Abbott removing both openers off consecutive deliveries early on. However, even with the pitch being two paced, 132 was too light. So that's all we have from this one. The second game is about to get underway. See you there.
18.1 Abbott to Turner, FOUR, gets it over mid-on to bring up the win as well as his half-century. What an innings from Ashton Turner
17.6 Daniel Sams to Turner, 1 run, short ball, Turner under-edges his pull into the body and it rolls into the on-side for a single
