So that's it from us. MLC moves to Florida now so we have a day's break. The Unicorns lock horns with the Orcas Tuesday evening. The latter must collect a few crucial points to strengthen their chances of advancing. See you soon again. Take care!
Faf du Plessis | TSK captain: I think the first six overs we got a good start but the wicket slowed down a bit. Anything about 185 was good but to get 200+ was unbelievable. The drive inside me is pretty big. To keep performing while I am playing. I have this fear of not living up to my full potential. So trying to squeeze every bit of if and use my potential. Akeal was going to open but we had a sneaky suspicion that they might do that (top open with Pooran). Our two lefties (Zia and Burger) were happy to have a crack ay Nicky P. Dangerous player once he gets going. We started with first three games here at home not playing the right style of cricket. Credit to everyone for putting their hand up. We got a new venue so got to assess the conditions and pick a side accordingly.
Akeal Hosein | PoTM: I think it's the mindset (On how he prepared to bowl at a venu that could be tough for bowlers). I was up for the challenge, coming up against this team. They have world-class players. I takes you to be at the peak of your game to beat these guys, To be honest I know those (Pollard and Pooran) guys. We are friends off the field and on the field we are quite serious. Thankfully I came out on the positive side today. I set my mind to bowl in the powerplay. I had a long night doing homework on these guys. I prepared for situations. If you want to be best at this game, you want to be a student of the game be it women's cricket, u19 cricket or men's cricket. Growing up the legend Dwayne Bravo once said as long as cricket is going on and you have the time to sit back and watch, you have something to learn. I have taken that from him. For me it's about trying to learn and get better.
Pooran: It's (losing) tough, we have struggled with our bowling throughout the tournamnent. We bowled well in the middle overs today. They (Faf and other batters) took it deep, his (Faf's) experience really mattered. Our bowlers went for runs. We need to keep learning things going forward. It was an incredible knock. He (Pollard) showed us how to go about it. He continues to make it (batting) look so easy. Really nice to see him enjoying the game and contributing. T20 cricket is all about momentum. Different contributions in Miami, one win can change things for us. MI franchise is never out of any tournament, everyone knows it.
22:48 Local Time, 03:48 GMT, 09:18 IST: TSK become the third team to qualify for the playoffs. Impressive 39-run win. Captain Faf led from the front with a hundred but it was Ferreira's joint-fastest MLC fifty this season that helped the yellow brigade get those extra runs at the end. MINY sent Pooran to open the batting but Burger accounted early for him. QdK got off to a start but Akeal shut the scoring down with a wicket-maiden dismissing Monanl. Noor followed up with five dots. Akeal came back and almost managed another wicket-maiden. Pollard got his eye in and unleashed on Noor literally like no-one has done it before. 23 off that over and MINY still believed. But he didn't get enough sipport at the end and was left to do too much. TSK bowlers managed to pull things back at the end and close the game out.

19.4 Stoinis to Boult, out Boult Run Out!! Oh Boult has run himself out again. Remember his funny runout in California? Now he didn't know where the ball had gone, set off, hit the brakes, reversed, only to fall short of home again. Yorker from Stoinis, Boult digs it out towards the keeper. Boult thought the run was on but the keeper collected and under-armed the throw onto the stumps. Boult threw his head back in disbelief at what he's done. Boult run out (Smit Patel) 6(2) [6s-1]
