Venue description: The University Oval is located at Logan Park, Dunedin, New Zealand. The stadium derives its name from the fact that it was originally owned by the University of Otago. Apart from the Otago Cricket Association, the ground is also home to the University of Otago Rugby Football Club. The ground makes up for its low seating capacity with picturesque surroundings, including a landscape of trees around the ground. The grass banks are another great feature as these embankments provide the spectators a way to relax and enjoy live cricket at the same time. Notably, the Umpire Decision Review System (UDRS) was officially used for the first time at this very ground. It was launched during the first Test match between New Zealand and Pakistan in 2009. The University Oval hosted its first Test match in 2008, between New Zealand and Bangladesh. Till date, the ground has hosted six Tests and only two ODIs. How does the pitch play?
