Adam Zampa was born in Shellharbour, New South Wales, on March 31, 1992. He is an Australian cricketer. Zampa is better known for his impressive and energetic skills as a leg-spinner for the Australian team in white-ball cricket.
In the initial years of his career, he bowled medium pace, but Zampa, inspired by Australian Test cricketer Shane Warne, changed his bowling style to leg spin because Cricket Australia had restricted the number of overs pace bowlers could bowl in under-14 contests. In 2009, Adam got into Australia's under-19 team, and in 2010, he got a chance to sign a rookie contract with the Blues, but he didn’t get an opportunity and chance to demonstrate himself because New South Wales already had so many spin bowlers. On June 12, 2024, Adam achieved this milestone and became the highest wicket-taker to play against Namibia in T20Is. He became the first Australian bowler to reach the 100-wicket mark among all squad members.
From 2016 onwards, Adam Zampa started his international career. On 6 February 2016, in the second match, he made his first ODI debut of the 2015–16 Chappell–Hadlee Trophy series. Adam Zampa became a regular member of both the ODI and T20I squads for Australia in 2016. On 4 March 2016, he made his T20I debut for the team Australia against South Africa.
Since then, he has...
