Travis Michael Head, better known by his on-field name Travis Head, was born in Adelaide, South Australia, on December 29, 1993. He is an Australian cricket player who contributes significantly as a left-handed hitter and occasionally bowls right-arm off-spin.
At the age of 18, Travis made his first-class debut for South Australia in the Sheffield Shield in 2012. He is an emerging cricketer and made an excellent start to his career by playing three matches for South Australia. Travis scored 50 runs in the second match and astonished his fans with his brilliant performance. But in the third match played against Ṭasmania, he was about ṭo score a century but failed at 90 runs. Still, after all the fame, he got his rookie contract with South Australia at the end of 2011.
On 13 September 2024, the Australia team was headed by Travis Head in T20Is against England. Travis captained his team in the 3-match series due to Mitchell Marsh's illness.
Travis was a key player of the Australian squad that triumphed in the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final and the World Cup final. He also became the second cricket player to score a century in the World Cup final, but this wasn't it. In 2023, he was named and became the first player to score centuries in successive ICC tournament finals, and was able to achieve this with his powerful batting skills and expertise.
At the initial stage of his career, he played under-19 ODI (One Day International) for the Australian cricket team, which includes the Cricket World Cup too.
