Andre Russell's Profile

Andre Dwayne Russell, better known as Andre Russell who was born on 29 April 1988 in Kingston, Jamaica. He represents the West Indies cricket team and is famous for his influential striking ability and fast bowling. He bowls with his right arm and is a right-handed batsman. He is an international cricket player who plays for the Jamaican squad in domestic cricket as well as for the West Indies in Internationals.

A well-known cricket player, Andre Russell, is well-known among fans who watch him play in several T20 leagues. He helped the West Indies to win the 2012 & 2016 ICC World T20. Russell is popularly known for his greater skills and abilities, especially in the T20 format. In May 2010, Andre played for the Barnards Green Cricket Club in England, which helped them get promoted from the Worcestershire Cricket League to the Birmingham League.

Andre showed his bowling skills and expertise and became the first bowler to take 4 wickets in a T20 on 21 September against India. He grabbed an opportunity and made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in November 2010 to begin his international career. In the 2011 Cricket World Cup, Andre got an opportunity to make his ODI (One Day International) debut against Ireland in Mohali.

Russell showcased his batting skills and became the fastest batsman in the West Indies' match against Australia, in terms of balls faced to score a thousand runs in ODIs. Although Russell was excluded from the rest of the tournament on 24 June 2019 due to his knee injury.

In his T20I debut for the West Indies, he hit a half-century in 28 balls against Australia on July 9, 2021. He was included in the West Indies squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in September.
