Shreyanka Patil is a cricketer from India, who was born on July 31st, 2002. Shreyanka is part of the national women's cricket team for India. She is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-spin bowler. Among state teams, she plays domestic cricket for Karnataka and plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Women's Premier League (WPL).
She was born in Bangalore, Karnataka and was introduced to cricket starting at age 10, when her father, Rajesh, started a cricket academy. Shreyanka began her cricket career at her father's academy, where she first tried out the different bowling types ranging from medium-pace to leg-spin. Over time, she developed her style with off-spin. While she was training at her father's academy, she then transitioned to Dev's Academy in Huttanahalli, Karnataka, for cricket academy training related to professional cricket.
She began her career as a cricketer by being invited to join the U-16 Karnataka squad. Shreyanka made her professional debut for the Karnataka senior team in October 2019, when she played against Pondicherry and took 1/21 in 2 overs. Based on her performance, she was selected to play in the Senior Inter-Zonal T20 Competition in early November 2022. She competed for the South Zone and had an incredible 4-0-7-4 against the North-Eastern Zone.
After the 2022 season, Shreyanka was handed an opportunity of a lifetime. She was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore in February 2023, for the inaugural season of the Women's Premier League. Shreyanka completed the seven-match tournament taking six wickets at an average of 32.00. In August 2023, she was signed to the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Women's Caribbean Premier League. Shreyanka had an incredible tournament, finishing as the leading wicket-taker with 9 wickets and an average of 11.66.
