Harshit Rana is an Indian international cricketer. The right-handed fast bowler was born in Ghevra near the Delhi-Haryana border on 22 December 2001. His cricketing journey began under the guidance of his father, Pradeep Rana who is a former hammer thrower and weightlifter for the CRPF. At school, under the guidance of coach Shravan Kumar, he refined his skills. Rana established his career’s foundation by playing age-group cricket for Delhi.
During the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders signed him at his base price of INR 20 lakh. Later in November 2022, he made his List A debut in the 2022-23 Vijay Hazare Trophy against Meghalaya. Followed by his first-class debut in the 2022-23 Ranji Trophy for Delhi against Assam.

Playing for the North Zone he struck 122 not out from 86 balls. Harshit made an impressive mark in the 2024 IPL season, by becoming the joint-fourth-highest wicket-taker with 19 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 20.16.
