Abishek Porel is an Indian cricketer who plays for Bengal in domestic cricket and represents Delhi Capitals in IPL. Abishek Porel was born on 17 October 2002 in Chandannagar, West Bengal.
He is a cousin of an Indian seam bowler Ishan Porel. Abishek is a wicket-keeper and left-handed batter. Abishek Porel made his debut through IPL 2023 when he was brought by the Delhi Capitals in replacement of the injured Rishabh Pant.
He made his debut in IPL on 4th April 2023 against the Gujarat Titans at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Abishek played a total of 4 games in IPL 2023 and scored 33 runs in total at an average of 8.25 and a strike rate of 106.45.
Abishek was permanently signed by the Delhi Capitals for the 2024 Indian Premier League. He participated in all 14 league games and amassed 327 runs at an average of 32.70, including two 50s all over the League. His strike rate was 159.51 in that season.
