Sediqullah Atal is an international cricketer from Afghanistan who was born on 12th August 2001. He is a left-handed batter.
He kicked off his professional career in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. He made his Twenty20 debut for Kabul Eagles in the 2020 Shpageeza Cricket League on 7th September 2020. Later, on 17th October 2021, he made his List A debut in the 2021 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One-Day tournament for Band-e-Amir region.
Atal was included in Afghanistan’s One Day International team for the series against Pakistan but the series was postponed due to the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan. The series was then rescheduled as three Twenty20 Internationals instead of ODIs, on 23 January 2023. There he made his debut in the third match of the series. In the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, he was named as a reserve player for Afghanistan.
Sediqullah played in the ACC emerging team Asia Cup for the Afghanistan A team where he scored a smashing 368 runs in 5 matches at an average of 122.66 and strike rate of 145. This made Afghanistan win the tournament. Atal was part of the Afghanistan team that played in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
