Shams Zakir Mulani, popularly known as Shams Mulani, born on 13th March 1997, is an Indian cricketer who represents the Mumbai team in domestic cricket and the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is a left-handed batter and a slow-left arm orthodox bowler.
Born in Raigad, Maharashtra, Mulani started his cricket journey in 2018. He made his T20 debut playing for the Mumbai team in the 2017-18 Zonal league on 11 January 2018. With his fabulous performance in the Zonal T20 tournament, he got the chance to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. On 5 February 2018, Mulani made his list-A debut for Mumbai in the 2017-18 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Later on, in October 2018, Mulani was named in India-A squad for the Deodhar Trophy held in 2018-19. In December 2018, he got a chance to debut in the India team for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. In December 2019, Mulani met with a big opportunity to play for the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 season. He took his first 5 wickets in the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy.
Mulani became the net bowler in the IPL 2020 season. Mulani came with a bash in the Ranji Trophy 2022-23 season, taking 46 wickets in the whole season. With his amazing performance, Mulani was selected for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2022-23, gaining 16 wickets in 10 matches. In the 2024 Ranji Trophy edition, Mulani took 31 wickets in the whole season.
