Cameron Donald Green was born in Subiaco, Perth, on 3rd June 1999. The Australian International player started his cricket journey at the Subiaco-Floreat Cricket Club. At the age of just 10, he started playing in the Under-13s league in the 2009-10 season. His exceptional talent earned him a contract with Western Australia while he was still in school.
The all-rounder made his Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) first-grade debut at the age of 16. Following his successful debut in the Sheffield Shield season of 2016-17, when he claimed 20 wickets in 8 games at an average of 82 runs, he was awarded a rookie contract by WACA. On 10 January 2017, he made his List A debut against Pakistan for Cricket Australia XI. In February 2017, he made his first-class debut for Western Australia against Tasmania during the Sheffield Shield season. In his extraordinary performance this season, he became the youngest player to capture a five-wicket haul in the event.
On 13th January 2019, he made his first appearance in the T20 for Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League 2018–19 season. Initially known for his fast-bowling skills, his trajectory shifted due to recurring injuries, which made him focus on batting. Following this, he made his breakthrough in the 2019-20 Sheffield Shield season, scoring unbroken innings of 87 and 121 against Queensland.
His continuous performance earned him a position in Australia's limited-overs squad for a series against India in late 2020. He made his ODI debut on 2 December 2020 followed by his Test debut on 17 December 2020, both against India. In an excellent display of his batting prowess, he scored a remarkable 251 runs for Western Australia against Queensland in the Sheffield Shield season 2020-21.
Green accompanied Australia for their T20I competition journey to Pakistan. He made his T20 International debut on 5 April 2022 against Pakistan, marking his entry in all three formats. He proved to be a potent bowler by taking his first five wickets in the ODI match against Zimbabwe. In a challenging chase during their first ODI...
