Josh Ingish is an Australian international cricketer. Josh Inglis better known as Joshua Patrick Inglis was born in England but he relocated to Australia with his family at the age of 14. Born on 4 March 1995, the Australian cricketer serves the Australian National Cricket team as the wicket-keeper-batter in all three formats.
Josh began his first-class journey in December 2015, debuting for the Cricket Australia XI in a match against the West Indians. He stepped into List A cricket in January 2017 again representing Cricket Australia XI this time facing Pakistan. In the Big Bash League 2017-18 season, he made his first appearance for Perth Scorchers in the T20 series.
Inglis smashed his maiden first-class century in the opening round of the Sheffield Shield 2020-21 season with 153 not out against South Australia. In March 2021, Leicestershire Country Cricket Club signed a contract with him for the T20 Blast 2020 series in England. In a T20 match in June 2021, he knocked his first century for Leicestershire with 103 runs and his second century with 118 runs off 61 balls in a match against Worcestershire.
In the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, he was chosen for the Australian team. His international T20 career began on 11 February 2022, when he played his first international match for Australia against Sri Lanka. Josh made his One-Day International debut on 24 June 2022 against Sri Lanka. In 2023 World Cup, he was named in Australia’s ODI Cricket World Cup squad. In the third match against Sri Lanka, he smashed 58 runs off 59 balls. Later in November of that year, he scored his maiden T20 hundred against India in Vishakapatnam.
